Commercial exterior cleaning
in Chepstow and Monmouthshire

Car parks, forecourts, entrances, cladding and gutters — cleaned around your opening hours rather than through them.

Commercial work is surveyed, not quoted from photos.

Access, surface, drainage and when you are quiet all change the job, and none of them read from a phone photo.

The survey is free and we work to your hours, not ours.

Who does commercial exterior cleaning in Monmouthshire?

JPM Exterior Cleaning covers commercial exterior work across Chepstow, Caldicot, Magor, Monmouth, Lydney and the surrounding area, for pubs, shops, offices, industrial units, letting agents and community buildings. Car parks, forecourts, entrances, paths, cladding, render, roofs and gutters.

Work is scheduled around your opening hours — early morning, evening or a quiet weekday — and quoted after a free site survey rather than from photographs. We are Checkatrade approved and fully insured. Call 07947587517.

Who we work for

Different premises, different constraints

Commercial exterior work is less about the surface and more about the constraints around it. What matters is when we can be there and how quickly the area has to be usable again.

Pubs, restaurants and cafés

Beer gardens, terraces and smoking areas, done before the season rather than during it. A green, slippery terrace in April costs you the first warm weekend of the year, and those are the takings you do not get back.

Shops and retail units

Entrances, walkways and shopfront paving. The first thing a customer walks across is the first thing they judge, and a stained entrance reads as neglect before anyone has seen the stock.

Offices and industrial units

Car parks, service yards, bin stores and cladding. Almost always out of hours, and usually the largest areas we quote for.

Letting agents and landlords

Between tenancies, or scheduled across a portfolio. A path or driveway that looks neglected is the commonest reason a viewing goes cold before anyone gets through the front door.

Schools and community buildings

Playgrounds, paths and entrances, scheduled for holidays and closures. These sites have the strictest paperwork requirements and the tightest windows.

Managed estates and car parks

Larger hard-standing areas where the job is as much about signage, cordoning and keeping a route open as it is about the cleaning itself.

What we clean

Everything outside the building

Car parks and forecourts

The largest areas and the ones with the most oil. Priced by area and condition, and almost always done outside trading hours so bays can be cleared in sections.

Paths, steps and entrances

The highest-visibility and highest-liability areas on any commercial site. Steps and slopes get particular attention because wet paving underfoot is a genuine risk rather than a cosmetic one.

Cladding, render and signage surrounds

Soft washed rather than pressure cleaned, for the same reasons that apply to a rendered house. High pressure on commercial cladding lifts panel seals and forces water behind them. More on soft washing →

Gutters and downpipes

Long runs on units and pitched commercial roofs, cleared from the ground with a vacuum system and camera. On a unit with a flat or shallow roof a blocked outlet becomes an internal problem quickly. More on gutter clearance →

Bin stores and service yards

The areas nobody photographs and everybody notices. Usually the dirtiest part of a site and often the one an environmental health visit looks at first.

The difficult part

Working around your business, not through it

The hard part of commercial exterior cleaning is not the cleaning. It is doing it without closing you down for a day.

Your quiet hours, not ours

Car parks and forecourts go in early morning, evening or on a quiet weekday, before customers arrive. Tell us your pattern at the survey and we work to it.

Always a route in

Entrances and walkways are cleaned in sections so there is never a point where nobody can get through the door. Everything is signed and cordoned while it is wet.

Seasonal timing

Pub gardens before the season, not during it. School work in the holidays. Retail before the run-up rather than in the middle of it.

Paperwork

Insurance and compliance

We are fully insured for public liability, and we send the certificate before we start rather than waiting to be asked for it. Most commercial enquiries ask on the first call, so it saves everyone a step.

Risk assessments and method statements

Managed sites, schools and care homes commonly require RAMS before work can be scheduled at all. It is worth establishing early rather than at the point of booking.

This section will state plainly what can be provided. If RAMS are not available, it will say so rather than implying otherwise — a site that needs them will find out either way, and it is better handled on the first call.

Insurance cover level: CONFIRM-15. Ask us for the certificate, and ask anyone else quoting your site for theirs.

One-off or ongoing

Scheduled work usually costs less than reactive work

A car park cleaned annually costs less than one left until the moss is established, because established growth takes longer to shift and the surface underneath has had longer to suffer. It also never reaches the point where a customer notices it.

The same is true of gutters on units, terraces before the season, and entrances through the winter. Most commercial sites benefit from a fixed rhythm rather than a call-out when something has gone visibly wrong.

Maintenance schedules

Until that is confirmed, this page does not advertise contracts. What we can say is that repeat work is quoted at the survey and that booking the same visit annually is cheaper than dealing with it once it has been left.

What it costs

Quoted after a survey, in writing

Commercial work is not priced from photographs. Area matters, but so do access, drainage, where the waste water can go, whether power and water are available on site, and how narrow the window is to get it done.

The survey is free and carries no obligation. You get a written fixed price covering the scope, the timing and what happens if the weather moves the date.

What we need from you at the survey

Your quiet hours, who holds the keys or access codes, whether there is an outside tap and a drain we can use, and any paperwork your site requires before contractors start. That covers almost everything.

What a great company! James provided a very reasonable quote covering both a patio and gutter clean and explained exactly what he would be doing. He turned up on the specified date, bang on time. My patio was absolutely filthy after a very wet winter but James cleaned it so well it now looks brand new. I was worried that anything he did may damage my border plants but absolutely nothing to worry about there. The gutter clean was just as good - no need for ladders, just a very long extendable vacuum piece of equipment that cleared all of the accumulated moss. Whilst the machine caught most of it, James thoroughly cleared the patio of the odd bits that fell down before starting the patio clean. The job was competed efficiently and at the price quoted. Very pleased. I’ve already lined up family and friends with James snd can’t recommend him highly enough. He’ll be back next time!

Commercials sites Monmouthshire and the border

Being twenty minutes away matters more on commercial work than on domestic. An out-of-hours slot means starting at six or finishing at nine, and that only works if the travel is short. It also means that if something needs a second look, it is a short drive rather than a scheduling exercise.

Common questions

Questions commercial customers ask

Can you work outside our opening hours?

Yes, and for most commercial jobs that is what we recommend. Car parks, forecourts and entrances are usually done early morning, evening or on a quiet weekday so customers are not walking through wet surfaces or around equipment.

Tell us your quiet hours at the survey and we will work to them.

We are fully insured for public liability and we send the certificate before work starts rather than waiting to be asked.

Managed sites, schools and care homes commonly require risk assessments and method statements before scheduling. CONFIRM-22 — whether RAMS can be supplied

Many commercial premises are better on a schedule than a call-out, because established growth costs more to shift than growth caught early, and a site on a rhythm never reaches the point where customers notice.

CONFIRM-23b — whether scheduled contracts are offered, and on what basis

After a free site survey, in writing. Area matters, but so do access, drainage, where the waste water can go, whether power and water are available, and how narrow the window is.

We do not price commercial sites from photographs, because too many of those factors do not show in one.

We clean entrances and walkways in sections so there is always a route in, and everything is signed and cordoned while it is wet.

On car parks we work bay by bay where the site allows it, so you rarely lose the whole area at once.

Cladding and signage surrounds are soft washed rather than pressure cleaned. High pressure on commercial cladding lifts panel seals and forces water behind them, and the damage often does not show for months.

The same principle applies to render on any building. More on soft washing.

Yes. Between-tenancy work on paths, driveways and entrances is common, and doing several properties on one round is cheaper than booking them individually.

Give us the addresses at the survey stage and we will price the round rather than each property in isolation.
